im trying to install this MS security essentials thing on the mothers laptop (AVG wouldnt update anymore) and it says to uninstall other virus protection things first. is spybot the sort of thing that should go too?

Free avast the best I have come across, no complaints at all. Wouldn't be arsed with free AVG - the paid for one we have in work is crap.
