Primavera Sound 2010 (1 Viewer)

These were the ones I was given a while ago
http://www.habitatapartments.com/

We stayed with these lot last year and they were great, really cheap, fantastic location and the dude running them was really sound and didn't seem to mind the fact that he had to waited 3 hours in the appartment as we were delayed because of the football.

The appartments were just off Las Ramblas and about 5 minutes from the Liceau tube stop.

in previous years has there been much in the way of correlation between Primavera (and/or ATP) and who plays Electric Picnic?

I know most people aren't arsed with EP this year (apathy seems to have grown exponentially since even last year when interest was pretty low). Just curious though since theres been feck all said about who might play. I remember a week after 2008 they announced acts for 2009, but not a thing for this year. Apart from Gil Scott Heron that is.

Not much correlation really. Primavera gets the bands touring europe in May / June as well as the ATP fests...

Electric Picnic should be pretty similar to Bestival 2010 lineup:

The Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip, Tricky, Echo & The Bunnymen, Mylo, Simian Mobile Disco, Four Tet, Roxy Music, Dizzee Rascal, Vitalic, Fever Ray, Ulrich Schnauss, Chic, The xx, The Temper Trap, High Contrast, Gil Scott-Heron, Flying Lotus, Cornershop, Tunng, Nathan Fake, Chase & Status, The Antlers, Skream, Phosphorescent, Plastikman, Deer Tick, Fat Freddy's Drop, Sub Focus, Mumford & Sons, DJ Zinc, Richie Hawtin, Delphic, Neon Indian, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Dave Clarke, Ellie Goulding, Shy FX, Marc Almond, Archie Bronson Outfit, DJ Yoda, Joker, Example, Memory Tapes, Breakage, Chris Coco, Caspa, Tinie Tempah, Aeroplane, Tom Middleton, Crystal Fighters, Erol Alkan, Ramadanman, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Alex Metric, Rolf Harris, Joy Orbison, Adrian Sherwood, Portico Quartet, Untold, Jamie Woon, French Horn Rebellion, Unicorn Kid, Todd Edwards, The Gaslamp Killer, The Japanese Popstars, Jack Beats, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, The Lost Brothers, D-Bridge, Seth Troxler, Mlle Caro & Franck Garcia, Worship, Instra:mental, hurts, Mixhell, Everything Everything, The Twinkle Brothers, Mary Anne Hobbs, The Cuban Brothers, stornoway, Greg Wilson, Egyptian Hip Hop, Sisters of Transistors, Annie Mac, Chilly Gonzales, Ewan Pearson, Erland and the Carnival, Three Trapped Tigers, The Vegetable Orchestra, King Charles, The Jim Jones Revue, Tim and Sam's Tim and the Sam Band with Tim and Sam, SP:MC, Beth Jeans Houghton, Telegraphs, Villa, Starless & Bible Black, The Bookhouse Boys, Sparrow and the Workshop, Summer Camp, Rob Da Bank, Dixon, Jaguar Skills, A Genuine Freakshow, Nile Rodgers, High Llamas, MC Dynamite, Sbtrkt, Race Horses, The Broken Hearts, Goldhawks, Horse Meat Disco, North Atlantic Oscillation, BeardyMan, David Rodigan, Samuel and the Dragon, Gaggle, The Boy Who Trapped The Sun, The Countryside Alliance Crew, MC Wrec, Laura J Martin, Dj Derek, The Bikini Beach Band, Glen Matlock, Feeling Gloomy, Huw Stephens, Fear of Theydon, Brassroots, Paddy Freeform, Reggae Roast, The Henry Brothers, Jackwob and Sombrero Sound System

Would highly recommend Primavera over EP... may seem like hassle travelling abroad, but well worth it.

cheers. I'd love to go but leaving the country around then is not a runner for me, sadly.

looks a pretty weak lineup really (Bestival/EP) if thats how it turns out. Lots of those bands played EP before, even last year in a good few cases.

a shame really. I reckon a lot of people are holding out to see the lineup before forking out for a ticket. The casual music fan isn't gonna be swayed by that lineup I reckon.

I hope Pavement play the same set that they played last night:)

Is that it? Was hoping for a bit more to be honest. Apparently Joanna Newsom was lined up but her Uk aent told her the Auditori was bad news because people were always coming and going during the concert. Jane's Addiction not coming either. Info from Primavera forum.

A week in Barcelona with at least 10 bands I'm really looking forward to seeing and more I'd happily watch.... not bad at all. If there were too many I needed to see, no doubt I'd miss some of them and always be on the run instead of relaxing and enjoying myself. I'm happy enough.
