"PRIMAVERA SOUND PRESENTS THE SPANISH PREMIERE OF ALL TOMORROW’S PARTIES - THE FILM

Estrella Damm Primavera Sound festival will present the Spanish premiere of All Tomorrow’s Parties at La [2] de Apolo, Nou de la Rambla 111, Barcelona on the 27th of May at 7pm. "All Tomorrow’s Parties - The Film" is a kaleidoscopic journey into the parallel musical universe of the cult music festival of the same name.

Before the screening, Vincent Moon, the reknown director related to La Blogothèque who, among other things, has directed the new Arcade Fire dvd, will show some short films and "take-away shows" as well as chatting with the audience.

Following the movie, the Champions final between FC. Barcelona and Manchester will be screened in the venue itself and after the final, you'll be able to join the home straight of the Acuarela showcase in Apolo.

Here below are the detailed schedules and extra information about ATP festival's movie.

18.00 Vicent Moon screenings
19.00 All Tomorrow´s Parties- The Film
20.45 Final Champions

All Tomorrow’s Parties is a DIY concert film featuring performances from an eclectic mix artists including: Battles, Sonic Youth, Belle And Sebastian, Patti Smith, Animal Collective, Grinderman, Iggy and the Stooges, Portishead, Mogwai, Slint, Grizzly Bear, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip, Daniel Johnston and The Boredoms.

The film is a semi-found bricolage made from Super8, camcorder and mobile phone footage contributed by over two hundred filmmakers, fans and musicians over the festival’s recent history, with key contributions from co-director Jonathan Caouette (Tarnation) and cinematographer Vincent Moon (The Take Away Shows, Arcade Fire).

All Tomorrow’s Parties is a fiercely independent festival that many music lovers regard as one of the most important music events in the world. In an intimate and communal atmosphere, free of corporate sponsorship, it serves up a heady combination of alternative music, crazy golf and chalet-living, with musicians and fans living side by side. At each festival a band or artist is chosen to gather up their favourite artists who perform over a weekend in an out-of-season holiday camp by the sea. Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore described the festival as the ‘ultimate mix tape’.

All Tomorrow’s Parties will have a multi-platform release this September with one night only theatrical events, a DVD release and digital download available through Warp Films."

does anyone know if you can collect your tick tack tickets from the venue or do you have to call into their "kiosks" that the confirmation emails keeps banging on about???

Yeah at the festival entrance.

Used to open the day before the festival but now it's only on the day - would advise getting there pretty early on Thursday as by the time a few acts start playing you could end up queuing for ages at the gates!

When I was there 2 years ago the kiosk was at the venue.

Nice one!

I recon I'll get there early in the morning, get my ticket/armband/pass thing and then just head back into Barcelona for the day to dick around then go back that evening and laugh at everyone in the queue!

ehhhhhhhh apparently Neil Young has been playing only songs from the last couple of albums during his last few gigs. Check out this, it's a vid of hime getting booed as he tells the crowd he won't be playing any Hits

CHAMPION'S LEAGUE FINAL RETRANSMISSION AT LA [2] DE APOLO CANCELLED DUE UEFA'S REQUEST.

Where did you see that? Strange that anyone would give much of a fuck.
Apparently there are big screens at Placa Reial, off Las Ramblas, which sounds like a good bet.

Got my email today, so that's me sorted. Come on.

We're sorry to inform you that we are summoned to cancel the retransmission of the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE finale between Manchester United and F. C. Barcelona planned on Wednesday at 20:45 at La [2] de Apolo venue.

The Elzaburu lawyer's office, on behalf of the UNION DES ASSOCIATIONS EUROPÉENES DE FOOTBALL (UEFA) and as a consequence of an express order by the same one, has summoned Primavera Sound to, in a 24 hours period that can't be deferred:

1.- Notify that we've been informed of the summon,
2.- Impart to the referred lawyer's office the cancellation of the retransmission,
3.- Withdraw and destroy any type of advertising of the same retransmission and
4.- Publicize our intention of repurchase.

As the lawyer Luis Baz y Baz informed us, the UEFA has expressly reported our planned retransmission as "an infraction to public communication rights, entitlement of the UEFA (...), that might be prosecuted and brought suit in front of spanish courts, in civil as well as criminal courts".

That is the Law.

The broadcasting of the movies "Vincent Moon screenings" (18:00) and "All Tomorrow's Parties - The Film" (19:00) remain as planned. And in the close surroundings of the Apolo venue, there are countless establishments offering a retransmission of the match at the planned shedule since it seems very unlikely that the UEFA will send a summon to all the pubs of Barcelona.

I got my Sonar tickets from Tick Tack Ticket a few times before, I was able to pick these up in the FNAC shops. There's a big one facing onto Placa Catalunya.
