That's been my experience too. When I worked in a snooker club in London some of the biggest drinkers/gamblers were muslims. They liked the fact that the club was private so no random people could walk in and see what they were getting up to.

Diff types of muslims though, some of my family are Turkish and they are secular and they drink like normal westerners.
But ya I guess you have some of the stricter country muslims who do get a taste for the hard stuff alright and sneak off to clubs for peace etc

I went looking for one a few years ago because we were planning a session of this board game called "Civil War" that I bought in Lebanon. The idea was everyone would be dressed up in PLO scarves, fake guns, moustaches etc. You know what though? It's really hard to find somewhere you can buy them in Dublin ......

As far as I know (and I don't really cos I haven't read it) the Koran doens't actually outlaw drink. It was explained to me before that the Prophet spoke out against drunkeness, and different people interpret that in different ways.
