Diff types of muslims though, some of my family are Turkish and they are secular and they drink like normal westerners. That's been my experience too. When I worked in a snooker club in London some of the biggest drinkers/gamblers were muslims. They liked the fact that the club was private so no random people could walk in and see what they were getting up to.
Think that's why wear PLO scarves cos they have more freedom.I'd imagine its hard to play snooker whilst wearing a PDO scarf.

I grew up in Ballymun, very few punks out there and we didn't wear them or know about them......kids never watched the news and no internet then.were they ever popular with the punks Janer?
Nope these were hardline muslims, well sons of hardline muslims I guess.Diff types of muslims though, some of my family are Turkish and they are secular and they drink like normal westerners.
But ya I guess you have some of the stricter country muslims who do get a taste for the hard stuff alright and sneak off to clubs for peace etc

They're the new gay fashion apparently. The guy in the Edge* told me.They weren't cool the last time around, and they sure as fuck ain't cool now. If you want a big scarf, go and buy a big scarf. But wearing some rag round your neck more appropriately seen on the head of yasser arafat is not, and I will repeat this, NOT COOL.

yeah, they are very fuckin trendy in sweden. is it okay if they have a different pattern tho? check out the selection on this site http://caliroots.com/system/campaign/view.asp?cid=756. ker-bling. i'm gonna get this oneWas at Roskilde this year, maybe 40% of the crowd there were wearing them. I blame the swedes. Only seen one or two around galway yet.
As far as I know (and I don't really cos I haven't read it) the Koran doens't actually outlaw drink. It was explained to me before that the Prophet spoke out against drunkeness, and different people interpret that in different ways.Diff types of muslims though, some of my family are Turkish and they are secular and they drink like normal westerners.
