outlook express glitch (quelle surprise!) (1 Viewer)

i know i shouldn't be using this app n all but it's handy if you have loads of old mail accounts that you still wanna keep an eye on from time to time...........
i used to have outlook configured to pull down mail from my .tcd.ie mail account.
now that i have left trinners i've removed this account entry on my pc, but continue to receive loads of spam into outlook from this mail account, even though it's meant to be shut down on trinity servers?
any ideas? obviously some sort of cached account detail that has to be cleared on my pc, but where is this info located????

is it a different email a/c that's receiving email from the trinity a/c? Did you set up email forwarding before you left trinity? - eventhough they said they only forward mail for one year i'm still getting stuff through that address, that's 2.5+ years on.

no, i'm still receiving mail from my .tcd.ie account. thats the email address that's in the To: field. Very strange, seeing as i have removed this account configuration from outlook express.............

check the full header of one of those tcd.ie mails and sees if there's any forwarding going on.

theseus, you were right, i should have copped it earlier. i did set up a forwarding mail address when i left trinners. the .tcd.ie mails are going to my eircom account, then go to my outlook express account. problem solved. i'll have to get on to trinity and get the account deleted. all i get in it is junk.thanks for that!
