WHEN ARE YE PLAYING IN THE POINT?

HAHAHA!

Were yee on the Late Late yet lads??!

"Jaysus aren't yee mighty? With the songs and thethethe guitars and the whole lot! Did you see them there John-Joe?"
"I did I did"
"Did you?"
"I did! Sure wasn't I standing here looking at them!"
"Jaysus, fairplay to yee lads fairplay to yee. Savage altogether. Yee're like Shhhhting or one of them lads"

My dad calls people "chief", in the same way English people say "mate". E.g. "How much do I owe you, chief?" to taxi drivers.

My departed granny from north west Mayo recounted to me once the first time she had seen a black person. He was a priest who had come with the Columban missons, some time way back in the 1930's or that, and in her words he was 'blacker than a snooker ball'

Apparently the first black person I saw was an African nun on a bus when I was about 2, who I went up and stared shamelessly at with my thumb in my mouth. She just beamed back at me.

This may explain why I picture God as a large smily black woman.

And you're the right swank in your gear!
