Modern gig venues are quite transformable. And gig producers are quite adept at it. The London O2 can be sold out with 15000 punters or with 25000 punters. I'm sure Croke Park or the Aviva or wherever is no different. Sold out show, that's all that matters. "Releasing" more tickets later is really just a logistical exercise in moving barriers around and stuff.

Watching the Brit awards here, and I noticed they have caberet seating on ground level, rather than thousands of giddy teenagers standing and screaming. It's still sold out, I'm sure.

As an aside, fucking hell that is an amazing set up. I'm extremely impressed. There's stuff happening that I've never ever seen before. Glad I'm not there though, I'd go mental.

A college in Scotland has added Britpop to its curriculum with an Oasis masterclass ahead of the band's reunion tour this summer.
