Thinking of giving Berlin a shot for a change of life.anyone know anything about making a start there in terms of work,benefits,rent or know anyone who made the leap and survived without having to join the sex-workers union.Cheers

according to any brilliant canadian music acts who moved there, it's a relatively cheap place to live which for musicians wouldn't reqire taking on two jobs just to make ends meet

rent, beer, gigs, restaurant are all dirt cheap. fuck all work here though. not sure about benefits (if you mean welfare etc.), but i think it's doable. kreuzberg is the cheapest of the 'happening' areas.

I know social welfare used to give 3 months dole if you moved to another E.U. country...friend of mine went on the lash in Spain for a whole summer,might try and swing the same thing
