The cost of a "sun" holiday for a family of 4. I know flying isn't and shouldn't be cheap, but I still remember flights being €25 when I was a solo traveler.

Ferry to France and back is over 2 grand.

I now see where Center Parcs get their price structure from. It's not from the place being spotless or anything like that, (it isn't) they just see what it costs to go to another country and pick the same/slightly less.

for my parent's 50th, it probably worked out as cheap for the lot of us to fly to villamoura and stay in a massive villa, than it would have been for the lot of us to decamp to some bland resort hotel in the midlands.

Bective Stud had their first winner at Cheltnam at the weekend, the owners bought rounds of drinks for the whole pub in Navan. Quite a big pub it was too.
So you think Paddy's day is stupid because only people you look down on like it?
Next you'll be telling me horse racing has merit!

Paddy's Day parades are silly. Cornu explained their origins yesterday / a few pages back.

What is so good about St. Patrick's Day then?

I only found out murder on the daaance floor was used in a new film.
I was wondering where it was getting the second wind.
I'm not much into new films

What have parades' origins got to do with anything?

I find people's enjoyment of watching horses running around utterly baffling, but that doesn't mean it's stupid. I'm not the centre of the universe. Other people's joy is real

People are allowed enjoy whatever they like and I can call it silly or crap.

Lots of things I like are probably silly
e.g. Football, pro sport, watching TV...
but it doesn't bother me if people think they're pointless.
I can tell you what I like about daft things and I understand why other people why other people don't get them.
Maybe they're right.
hey leave me out of this I hate horse racing, I'm just telling a story I heard yesterday.
OK point taken Anthony - Sorry

The newest guy in the office in work.

Keeps fucking up my call-outs, missing emails and giving me wrong info.
Very frustrating and costing me time
It's his first week so I'll give him a pass but if he keeps this shit up and he'll be gone.
