I saw the Devil Wears Prada and A Prarie Home Companion within a few days of each other last year. It's hard to imagine anyone else being able to become two so completely different charachters, so believably.

I can't stand the girl. Almost kilt the Deer Hunter before it even started.

And she's fugly.

Although, yeah, she can be "okay" in some movies.

Though, I can't for the life of me think of any right now.

Not to be confused with her being in some great movies. That she has.

She won an Oscar for Sophie's Choice, but Kevin Kline made the movie. I never understood that one.

She's the modern Barbara Stanwick. Always ruining things with her fecking weeping.

I was kicking myself for being foolish enough to go against my instincts and trust the reviews that assured me it was a cut above the usual predictable bullshit girly drivel.

Yeah its not great - Although I think Anne Hathaway is cute and it has Stanley Tucci as well so not a completely wasted hour.

what struck me is just how completely different the Anna Wintour charachter is from the woman she plays in The Prarie Home Companion.

I must be gettin old - cos I was genuinely moved by the bridges of madison county - I mean.. my ma saw it and described it as 'middle aged couple do it a few times, few bridges spotted, not much else happens' but she made it for me.

Ditto on the orchid thief - her and chris cooper were amazing in that.

Hey - according to IMDB she was in King of the Hill! This woman rocks!
