they have to give an option of either a refund or reschedule. They don't have the option not it. (I don't think theres any 'act of god' clause in consumer rights issues). Even if there was, most LCD Soundsystems fans don't believe in god.

Exactly. They can't just take the cash and cancel the gig. Niall Byrne isn't an expert on consumer rights as far as I know so I don't know why anyone's listening to what he thinks will happen as regards refunds.

Anyway - if we sacrifice Tom Hanks to this Volcano do you think it'll calm down and stop fucking with gigs throughout Europe?

If you bought them online you have to send the tickets back to them (at your own expense), then they'll refund your card. If you bought them at a kiosk you have to bring them back there.

Their wording is that you have to send them back "via a secure method" which presumably means registered post. If you were to drop in and hand them back to them directly to their offices (70 grafton st. for anyone who is based in town) would they accept them?

Due to unforeseen circumstances LCD SOUNDSYSTEM performances on 20/21 APRIL 2010 has been cancelled.

Customers who purchased their tickets from an outlet can obtain a refund by returning their tickets to the point of purchase.

For customers who purchased their tickets via phone or Internet, refunds will be issued to your credit card and should appear within the next three to five working days.
