I'd suggest also the Rangda album (Formerly Extinct). Its the best I heard from Chasny in a while. Sadly, I also got a tweet from him yesterday saying he won't be playing in Dublin anytime soon.

For myself, it'd probably be a tie between Awe Naturale by Theesatisfaction and the Money Store by Death Grips. Haven't really gotten into No Love Deep Web yet.
Also really loving the new Converge and Deerhoof albums. Breakup Songs is a lot of fun.
Really like the Grimes album. Gets my vote if only for Oblivion.
The Perfume Genius album also had a lot of great stuff on it.
And I nearly forgot about Lambchop. Great album and savage gig in Vicar St.
It wasn't released this year but Opus Eponymous by Ghost is such a great album. Only picked it up a few weeks ago and can't stop listening to it. Think they have a new one due out before Christmas. Speaking of which, I really got into Black Sabbath in a big way this year. They'd kind of passed me by before this
