It's the home stretch of the year. We are the arbiters of musical taste in our respective social circles. It is important that we have this conversation before anyone else.

If someone had asked me this on Monday, I wouldn't have been able to say "Well, I really like the Goat record", but now that info is in our select community.

And anyway, no one in January 2013 is going to want to know what the best record of 2012 was. They will want to know who the Hot New Artists Of 2013 will be.

We'll have that thread up after Halloween.
