A few of things of note to add:

  • Come along early to catch Rachel Rath's acting workshop. There may be a drumming workshop as well.
  • Scraffito's piece will feature her in a gas-mask doing action painting on a large canvas to drill'n'bass music.
  • David Creevy is the most promising classical guitarist in the country.
  • Spectac's set will be in tandem with visuals from Del9.
  • Bullets and Dan Cullen have a piece that will be featured in a dark alley.
  • We'll be showing some films at this as well. DIY or Die will be one of them.
  • David McCarthy's piece is a 25 foot theremin thingymejig.
  • All the money raised will be going towards funding the Blackfort Art Truck.

i've been staring at this for 20 seconds now and i just can't find fault with it. brilliant. do trucks really lose expressive confidence when driven by men? oops, sorry, wrong brain. hang on ... "The Daemien Frost" ... i guess we're the tribute band :p

The acting workshop is one of the funniest enjoyable things

human being kinda thing

David Creevy Classical Guitarist
David Creevy is recognized as Ireland’s most talented young guitarist. He has received critical acclaim from his mentors and The Irish Times, - "Creevy is a sensitive musician with a knowing sophisticated side…a strong technique with an ability to define layers in a multi line texture…" David has studied with the heir to the legacy of the great Spanish guitarist, Andres Segovia, Christopher Parkening who proclaims that, - "David Creevy is a very talented young classical guitarist. An instrument speaks from the heart of a player and it is this young man’s heart that speaks when he plays."

This will be the best gig EVER

Anyone who doesn't go to this is officially a LOSER

I guess some Michael Knight biog shite would be appropriate at this point..but I can't be arsed

It's on Thomas Street. Right next to the turn you take to go into the Guinness Store House. It's the backyard area.

awesome, except it clashes with another gig i have to play *and* the proposed DIY/politics all-dayer in the city arts centre..

Feck it anyway, every other weekend we picked clashed with something
else or people wouldn't be available to play with weddings and tours.

Oh well... that's still *proposed*.

Unless, of course, you want to have it on in the Digital Hub.
