that really depends on whether or not you hope to pass your geography.

when i was a lad studying geography in limerick the lecturer took a role call everyday and after a while called those people who didnt attend regularly enough (myself included) into her office one by one and threatened that unless our attendance improved she could make life difficult for us in second and third year by making sure we got sent on shitty off-campus placements. i think most of us dropped geography after first year which was probably what she hoped would happen...
