bolt on all the way with this one. I want a bit more snap and twang.

while I love a bit of cross-lapping of timber, and jointing tomfoolerly I'll be keeping this pretty simple.

For home furniture purposes, I'm starting to re-learn all my mad joinery skillz from my leaving cert using YouTube. My first dovetail joint in 20 years was a runaway success...ion of horrible mistakes. Will try again this weekend.

i based my workbench on his series of videos.

I don’t have room for a workbench but I think my grandad’s one is still set up in my man’s garage so might see if I can set up down there. I have a foldaway workbench but it’s a bit shit for anything beyond holding something flat while you saw/drill it.

My workbench is a standard pine kitchen table. Room for improvement for sure.

i recommend befriending a neighbour who is disposing of oak floorboards. and also befriending someone with multiple long clamps.
