Looking to go somewhere for a week at the end of august/beginning o september. any recommendations either in Ireland or not?

When we were little we loved Trabolgan. Great swimming pool, playground etc all on site and included in the price. Holiday camps in general tend to be good for children.

If you feel like going further afield we went to this place http://www.camping-panorama.com/ near Bordeaux (you can get trains to Arcachon from Bordeaux and there is a bus service from Bordeaux to the campsite (or you could bring a car or camper van). The huts are luxurious, the furnished tents are very comfortable and we camped there in tents for a few days too. All the facilities are great. Swimming pools, a water slide, playground, restaurants and a shop on site (the panorama restaurant is excellent and really popular with locals).

Bournemouth... seriously... absolutely tonnes of stuff here for kids.

We just came back from a great two-week break in cornwall staying here - specifically targeted at parents with young kids (ours are 2.5 and 10 mnths).

if you didn't want to go you should have just stayed at home
