So where does it all go - my understanding of the region isn't great. What i'm seeing is Genocide in the Gaza strip, the strip becomes part of isreal, Isreal start doing to lebanon what they did to palestine because that seems to be the only thing they've done ever. They end up in control of 50% of the levantine coast, Syrian civil war is continued by proxy, or the proxies start becoming the targets for retaliation. I dunno.

Hard to know what the end game for either hezbollah or Israel is. Not sure the Israelis have designs on Lebanese territory in a settler sense - beyond perhaps occupying a buffer zone or similar..
In the short term the Israelis are probably thinking in terms of weakening hezbollah significantly, and giving Iran a bloody nose by proxy. Bibi the bollox needs war to continue.

Was watching this documentary at lunchtime which got huge attention today. Murder, human rights abuses, mindless violence and destruction and admissions of war crimes often filmed by Israel soldiers themselves. Some of the Israeli soldiers are identified by name.
But also some of the Gazan bravery is incredible, especially the woman doctor who risks her life to rescue a man who has been shot.

Yes - Undoubtedly for Israeli forces it is normal practise to deliberately attack civilians, murder and abuse them, use them as human shields, deliberately destroy hospitals, mosques and homes of civilians.
Some named soldiers filmed themselves doing these things on camera including also boasting about torture and war crimes. Named soldiers blew up buildings (including a whole village) on camera and posted it online.
The Israeli army lie to people about where is safe and deliver shoot at people, including murdering children.
That's not even all of it.

The Sri Lanka documentary I mentioned did not show as much on camera. There was a lot of before and after footage of murder and loose talk by soldiers on their own phones about what they had done to people.
Correction: No Fire Zone was made by Channel 4 not BBC.
