As for the pottymouthing and gossipwrangling, I am entitled to an opinion, and if I think that good ole Hugo having a crack at stamping out the admittedly highly readable beautiful-people nonsense epitomised by the Sindo and certain other lurid publications, then who are you to naysay me?! I think the letter K is a bit superfluous in English. If people just used a hard C all the time and an S for soft Cs, there would be no need for the letter K. So Cellophane would become Sellophane. It would doubtless make English a bit easier for students of the language, having one less letter and some consistency in the usage of C and S.
