me and y'ousson door agree on this one - there are mheeeeheeelion good places.

Get time out when you get there, pub-wise try to go to The Social on Wardour st (is that right? I can't remember, it's in Soho in anyways), Rota in the Notting Hill Arts club on Sunday afternoons is always really nice even if you're not mad on the bands. Mostly we go over for gigs and to see mates so where we go is determined by what gig we're seeing. But sightseeing wise it's such a nice city - central london is full of completely gorgeous walks and buildings. Do t'auld London eye if you get a chance, it's rappa. Shopping, hit oxford st and you could also try the Portobello market which is completely deadly. The neals yard end of covent garden is also fantastichen. The record shops are amazing.

Camden is worth a visit, there are some nice pubs, a market and some good venues and foody places. You'll just have to keep going back, I'd say I've been to london about 20 times, and I still haven't the measure of it, no sir.

if you are looking for decent record shops, berwick street in soho is very good, the end of it that is nearer picadilly and away from oxford street has some great little shops for music that may be a little hard to get hold of.

camden is great for wandering around on a nice weekend afternoon. you should also find it very easy to buy grass in that area, if thats what you are into
