That is the conclusion of psychologists Miron Zuckerman and Jordan Silberman of the University of Rochester and Judith Hall of Northeastern University, who have published a meta-analysis in Personality and Social Psychology Review.

This is the first systematic meta-analysis of 63 studies conducted in between 1928 and 2012. In such an analysis, the authors look at each study’s sample size, quality of data collection, and analysis methods, then account for biases that may have inadvertently crept into the work. This data is next refracted through the prism of statistical theory to draw an overarching conclusion of what scholars in this field find. “Our conclusion,” as Zuckerman puts it, “is not new.”

At least 60 pilgrims have been killed in a stampede near a Hindu temple in central India, police have said.

Thousands had gathered at the Ratangarh temple, about 60km (37 miles) from Datia town in Madhya Pradesh state, for a religious festival.

Panic broke out as crowds of pilgrims tried to cross a bridge on the Sindh river, near the shrine.

Most of the victims were killed in the stampede, while others drowned after jumping off the bridge.

Plausible but highly unlikely.
The historical Jesus definitely existed - to the extent that something like that can be verified, there is near-universal acceptance of this among historians.
How he lived and his status as a messiah etc. is all up for grabs.

read this one a few years ago - the version i remember was that it was 2-3 peoples biographies hagiographied into one 'jesus'.

even at that, those guys were mostly based on previous guys anyways.

So..I dunno if this has been posted before.but it turns out theres a crowd of dopes over stateside that have these things called Glory Clowds.

They all get together for a weekend in one of their 12000 seater churches and at the end..if they are super holy and God is pleased with them..they get a dose of the clowd
