Hi Thumped, what's the deal with this? I don't think she/they are especially amazing, although I do think she/they have one or two 10/10 songs. However people seem to dismiss the band completely outright.

Can anyone on here explain what they got against them? It is an instant dislike of hype? Did people hear 2 and half songs and judge it on that or is there a specific rip-off going on that rankles with you?

I'm just kurious because she seems to get an awful lot of hatred* from people who would normally be somewhat open minded to music

I like the one in the O2 ad, but don't like You Got The Love. I like her haircut. Fair play. Actually I do like You Got The Love. I don't like the original... or at least the one that was out in the 90s. My girlfriend is mad about her. She did rip off Gang Gang Dance, who are awesome, but she seemed genuinely apologetic when she got caught. She's a good egg. I like that but she's getting a bit tabloidy. That could ruin her. She's alright though. She's grand. Yeah... I think she's grand.

I must admit, I had little interest in her either way until I saw her show in the Olympia last year. She was really rather good. Haven't listened to her since really, but I can't deny that the show she put on was very impressive.
