Tonight Matthew, I will be stuffing my pie-hole with Wine And Nibbles

(cue rapturous applause)

I've only recently gotten into wine actually. Red anyway, White still tastes like piddle to me

When I was in college I ate this loads, it'll probably kill you but i like it.

1: Lightly toast some bread.
2: butter it and then throw on a layer of dijon mustard (the one that comes in the suqeesy tube's the nicest)
3: Throw a well cooked rasher on top (you might want to chop it up a bit)
4: throw some tomato on that
5: cover to fuck with mozzarella
6: stick under the grill until the mozzarella starts to brown.
7: Eat.

It'll probably kill me but I freaken loves it.

that sounds absolutely delicious. Eoddy Gorilla's Bruschetta sounds amazing also. mmmmm. getting hungry now.

i find black olives are a great nibble to go with wine, or a nice beer.

I'm funny about black olives. If I eat just a few I'm like Mmmm baby, these guys are delicious. If I eat a few more I'm like Bleurghhh why am I putting these in my mouth? It's the only food I'm that way about and I don't know what's up with that.

While I love your wine and nibbles recipe you forgot to mention Step 1.

Step 1: Put on movie or record that you know inside-out and is always a deadly buzz. Repeat as required.

Ain't no protein in that La La
If this is gonna be your main meal you better add some beans or nuts of tofu or eggs (or fish or meat)

i know. fucking protein.

alright, an amendment to the original La La special could be to throw in some lovely cheddar cheese and watch that shit melt in. yummmmmmm.

thing is, i was trying to keep within chutneyfarmer's regulations, no meat, (and none for me either, thanks!) eggs, something else..........

Where'd you hear that LaLa? I ain't to nutritionist, but sfar as I know while there's protein in spuds, you'd have to eat way to many of them in order to get sufficient amounts in a meal. I don't know but, I'm willing to learn.

oh, and olives.....mmmmmmmmm.....the almond stuffed garlicy ones from the stall in Georges St Arcade, or the spicy ones from Magills. Jeebus, but they're like little salty balls of heaven.
Rumour has it that very often black olives are very often just green olives dyed. If you check the ingredients when you're buying them from a jar or (ugh) can, if it aint just dyed greebn olives it should have some kind of adjective beside the word olive (e.g. black)

1. Respect to Buzzo for the hummus recipe (I wish I could give rep)
2. Cooking is the best thing in the world ever (even better than beer)
3. My top easy recipe: Easy Pasta Sauce:

Throw whatever vegetables you like in a pan (courgettes, peppers, mushrooms, etc.)...add garlic...add tinned chopped tomatoes, chopped garlic, one teaspoon of sugar (really important!)...cook until the tomatoes have reduced...EAT!

4. Kudos to Egg for introducing the word "reduction" to the Thumped vokab.

5. e = mcee squared.

Repeating my previously posted recipe: Mafe Stew.
Req'd: 1 onion, 1/2 a butternut squash, couple of sweet potatoes, 1/2 courgette, 1 or 2 chillis, 1/2 tub of smooth peanut butter, tin chopped tomato, tin tomato puree, some chopped spinach. Beyond this whatever veg (or meat for the carnivorous) what takes yer fancy. Could add a couple of carrots/broccoli/aubergine.
Fry chopped onions in good bit o' oil for 3 mins, add in rest of veg & chilli, diced. Fry more for 5 minutes, add yer tomato tins and half mug of water. Simmer for about 30 mins until the likes of the squash are all soft. Chuck in the peanut butter and chopped spinach and stir it in - goes all deliciously satay-ish. Add salt and pepper to taste and give it 5 more minutes. Dole it out.
Sposed be served with mashed plantain but a bit of ol' rice does the trick nicely.
Voila.
