Oh GOD dudes. Some of them recipes are fabdilis.
I never really got off the tomato and cucumber vibe since Russia. We had it with the creamiest loveliest feta in a friends house over there and the tomatoes were so tasty and I've never really replicated the experience since. chasing the dragon. I have a friend who cant' eat cucumbers because she tastes poinson when she eats them.

so

Tzatziki (sp?)
1 grated cucumber
I tub natural yoghurt
lots of finely chopped garlic
lil bit of lemon and a handful of chopped dill
in a bowilt, leave ingredients to infuse or whatever

Hummous
can of chickpeas
Spoonful of tahini
clove of garlic or two
lots and lots of olive oil
lemon juice salt and pepper to taste
Blend em all up and stuff in face

Rock Buns:

200g SR flour
75g butter
75g sugar
couple of handfuls raisins
1 egg
a drop of milk
spices of your choice

mix together, spoon onto tray and bake at 180 for 13-15 mins.

You can sub raisins for chocolate drops and add a bit of cocoa powder. Yum!

Hey Fancy, you and I sure do make a wacky internet tag-team, don't we?

I'd say if there was a Thumped Top Trumps deck of cards where one of the attributes was Wackyness, we'd both be on 12.

I had carrot sticks dipped in hummus at a friends house once. That shit was nice.
In my own house I had sausages dipped in burgers.

Koka Curry Noodles.

Ingredients:

1 Pack of Koka Curry Flavoured Noodles
Water

Cooking Instructions:

Add Noodle to 400cc of boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add in seasoning, stir & serve

That's about the extent of my cooking skills.

tesco's own brand hummus is Brilliant. I went through a phase of putting it on nearly everything i ate a while back.

My current favourite dinner (with acknowledgements to tom):
1.fry a load of garlic, onion, tofu, peppers and mushrooms
2.fling in a heap of tomato puree, a vegetable stock cube, and a packet of old el paso spice stuff
3.cook it for another few minutes
4.wrap it up in tortilla wrappy things (with grated cheddar and/or sour cream if you so desire)
5.eat loads thereof.

Cool. I'll check that out so. It might mean having to walk down to the hell-hole that is the new Dundrum Shopping Centre but once it's for food, it's an acceptable quest.

That dinner suggestion sounds scrumptious btw!!!!!!!!!

actually, fried rice easy.

the usual method

fry egg - tofu or whatever,
remove from pan,
fry two tablespoons or so of fennel seeds and one of mustard seeds and veg,
remove,
fry fresh cooked rice for 2-3 mins,
add egg - tofu or whatever and veg,
add 2 tablespoons or so 5spice or whatever you prefer,
lash on loads of soy sauce.

This is my fast fude.

When I was in college I ate this loads, it'll probably kill you but i like it.

1: Lightly toast some bread.
2: butter it and then throw on a layer of dijon mustard (the one that comes in the suqeesy tube's the nicest)
3: Throw a well cooked rasher on top (you might want to chop it up a bit)
4: throw some tomato on that
5: cover to fuck with mozzarella
6: stick under the grill until the mozzarella starts to brown.
7: Eat.

It'll probably kill me but I freaken loves it.

Sound's like a grilled heartattack to me! :D

maybe not a recipe per se, but a few cloves of garlic left to stew in a little bottle of extra virgin olive oil for a few days is great tasting and healthy; soak it up with a fresh slab of italian bread and you'll be lord of all you survey.

Fish:

Ingredients:
1 mackerel
or
2 herrings (coming into season next month)
or
a load of sardines

Instructions:
1. Gut em
2. Scale em
3. Fillet em
4. Fry em
5. Eat em

Serve with the aforementioned Proper Oven Chips and a bit of salad with Proper Salad Dressing. Yumsers

(if you're buying in a proper fishmonger get him/her to perform steps 1-3 for extra convenience ... especially recommended for sardines, which are a bollix to prepare)

Liver and onions with a balsamic reduction:

Ingredients:
Around a pound of lamb's liver (which is amazingly cheap)
2 biggish onions
Balsamic vinegar
Dried sage

Fry the onions in some butter over a low heat until they're quite dark. Keep warm in the oven. Cut any obvious tubes out of the liver, wash it, dry it off, dust it with flour and stick it in the pan over a fairly decent heat - try to leave it a bit pink in the middle and definitely don't overcook it (it'll be rubbery). Take out the liver and keep it warm. Pour maybe 2-3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar into the pan with around 2 teaspoons of sage, stir around to get all the gunk off the pan, let it bubble and reduce down a bit, and pour over the liver. Serve with mashed spuds and a bottle of stout.

Bruschetta

What ya need:
Garlic
Mozarella Cheese
Ciabatta Bread (other breads will do, Ciabatta works best though)
Olive Oil
Garlic
Fresh Basil
Fresh Tomatos
Pinch of Salt
Sprrrrrrrinkle of Pepper

How makey:
Slice the Ciabatta bread.
Lightly toast as many slices as ya feel like makin'.
While heating the bread, chop a few cloves of garlic up.
Make a small bowl of a mixture of: olive oil and a small bit of pepper and salt (plus any other herbs you'd like to add)
Chop the tomatoes.
Remove the slices of Ciabatta from wherever it is yer heating it.
Spread the garlic evenly on the slices (alternatively you could make a garlic butter and spread it on them)
Pour the olive oil mixture over the slices evenly.
Pile on the chopped tomatoes..evenly.
Sprinkle mozzarella over slices until they're all covered.
Put in oven until cheese is a golden brown colour.

Sweeeeeeeeet.

Fucks sake, sounds a lot harder than it is. Honestly takes about 10-15 minutes!
(Also, this recipe is just a guideline, there are unlimited varieties to it, all sweeeeeeeeet)

Here, could someone recommend some easy healthy recipies for someone who hates salads, cold meats, eggs, and cheese????

Anyone?

The La La Special (i eat this all the time, its fuckin tasty, so it is)

Boil up about 2 large potatoes until lovely and sawft.
Heat up some virgin oil in a pan and throw in the spuds (bash them around a bit first to break them up)
Add a load of brocolli heads to this and watch 'em sizzle.
Bung in some kernels of corn.
Make it all fry up all lovely, like.
Then, *drum roll* add in some tomato pasta sauce and fry that muthafucka up.
Add some balsamic vinegar (a few sprinkles will do)

Throw it all in a bowl and chow it down. If thaht isnt heaven in your mouth, ill eat my hat. its delicious.

i discovered it when i went to live in san francisco for a while and was poor. im telling ya, experimentation pays off! .|..|
