apparently one option would be to remove the other strings and push it out from inside the body. i'll try that later.

Ha! Yeah, was using a bit with a top bearing so applying a bit of pressure into the wood. I’ll be fairly contouring the body at that point, so I may be able to take it out more or less. If not a repair piece and a solid finish!I jinxed you
