Does anyone know what type of verification they look for here? My wife qualifies as a teacher but I'd be buying the thing so the bill would be to me, not a teacher or student.

i think the key word there is "may". Isn't an email address from a recognised educational institution usually enough?

I got the student version of cs5, As far as I can remember they wanted a photocopy of my student card before they would send me a serial.

It was either that or I had to send an email from my college mail address. (I got a few different student versions of programs that year)

You can buy these things through certain institutions. If your wife is a teacher ask if she can buy it through her employer.
