It's entirely believable. I read that the Cuban vaccine is actually more effective than the MRNA ones, and the US definitely don't want to have anything like that coming out of a place like Cuba.the conspiratorial hot-take:
there are sudden protests in cuba, out of nowhere. protests don’t just dramatically happen there out of nowhere. the yanks are stirring the shit.
but why now? might it be that they are happening now in order to cause friction for the cuban vaccine roll-out? (scheduled to start next month within cuba, with their own home-produced shot, then planning to start sending shots abroad before the end of the year). is the real intention here is to cause trouble for the cuban vaccine because it represents a real threat to the pharma behemoths? it sounds absurd to say it, but then when you look at the completely bonkers stuff that the CIA have tried to do in cuba, it also seems weirdly plausible. the cuban vaccine is an amazing achievement, and explicitly a socialist one. you can be sure that the americans are desperately trying to figure out ways to ruin the party.
ok, taking tin-foil hat back off now

This person contacting me disappeared down the rabbit hole long ago. I have to admit, there was a masochistic part of me that kept pushing me to answer their texts even though there’s no changing this person’s mind at all and the whole exercise was pointless.I had to pull up my lil bro about some conspiracy theory shit he saw on Twitter.
He hasn't been pulled down into that hole yet, but I feel I need to keep an eye on him.
Sums this person up. Fairly angry in general even without there being a pandemicIt seems to me that a lot of the anti-vaxxing people are just kind of bored/frustrated with their lives so they can't really deal with lockdown and instead like to imagine that it's all a big conspiracy against them.
an ex-colleague started to disappear down a bit of a youtube hole of conspiracy theorist videos. i haven't seen him in a few years, so i don't know if the slide continued, but we used to say to him there were plenty of 'conspiracies' well founded in fact he'd be better off reading up on, but i guess many of those are complicated and not as easy to make sound dramatic in a pithy 10 minute long youtube video. This person contacting me disappeared down the rabbit hole long ago.
