okay. hi.
i want to buy a domain name. any recommendations? cheap, reliable, no pop ups? i really have no idea where to look for a good deal.

do you just want to park the domain, or do you want to put up a proper site?

if it's the former, you can get them for around a tenner from, well, anywhere

if it's the latter, then you need hosting, which varies in price/quality/purpose, and is a whole other kettle of fish

beware shitty hosting, for it will ruin your life

i pay a hundred quid a year for my hosting from www.hosting365.ie

ah yeah, they're grand. i've a basic linux package that i run a few sites on and it's generally fine. also they have decent phone support. that said, maybe ask around a few other people for comparisons - hosting365 are by no means the only people at this game.
