New Music CMAT is awesome (1 Viewer)

Shes a melodic genius. I cant get over her . Shes a gift to earkind everywhere
She is, she's also super sound. I hope she makes millions and millions. But fix the diction.

The Glastonbury footage is all great, but my favourite is actually during the Katy J Pearson set, when CMAT was down in the pit on someone's shoulders rocking out and having the time of her life.

Katy J Pearson is also someone unearthing amazing melodies for what it's worth. You hear a chorus and go, how was that not mined by McCartney or B Wilson or someone 50 years ago.

there was an article in the IT recently pondering why irish radio has effectively ignored her till after she started to go big; as i don't listen to most irish radio stations, is that an issue?

I listen to the radio when I'm in the gym. Radio 1 til 7am, then RTE Gold on and off during the day. Also a bit of BBC6 at the weekend (though they turned of BBC Sounds last week - pricks)

Not sure when those CMAT 3Arena gigs were on but I've heard every radio show I listen to has played her for ages.

But I think Oola Muloola's article is more about a gender imbalance than specifically CMAT and thats probably a factor of Ireland's obsession with shitty male singer-songwriters.

None of the above would class as primetime.
RTE gold isn't actually a radio station.
and 6 music isn't in ireland.

This is also proof to the radio that it's not needed any more. aw poor wadio.

This is sorta a music nerd misconception. Ireland has consistently some of the highest radio listenership in the western world. Dweebs like us tend to self curate our musicial days, but the vast majority like to someone else to do the curation.
