can anybody suggets any good record shops, pubs, places of interest over there ?
nice one...

i've been, but didn't like the look of it much so headed out to taunton, and western super mer instead, which were ace.

i remember there were lots of record shops on the hill beside bristol university.

Bristol's great I was there last year and I liked it lot. I couldn't tell you any good places off the top of my head but I'm sure I've some flyers and stuff at home so I'll check them and let you know.

Its a really nice little town. Big into their reagge and their hip hop. Some really lovely graffiti / mural things.

oh and I prefer the cat.

hp: could you do a gif of the cat?

it wouldn't be quite the same, would it...

while were on good places to go
im off to Edinburgh next week, please gimme the best places to go? like really good (ROCK<JAZZ<FUNK venues please)

Edinburgh - loads of pubs but don't remember any. (The art school "the egg" or something was good) Glasgow is a fiver return on the bus and only an hour away. 13th note cafe on king street is well worth a visit in that emo's austin kindof way....the club round the corner is pretty good too. Nicen'sleasys on sauchieall(sp?) st. is a great venue too and king tuts ain't bad either. The counting house on georges square does double vodkas and double JDs for 1.80 - somethin you ain't gonna find in ol' Dublin.....have fun.

the 13th note cafe is fucking great, we had one of our best ever gigs there, and i really hope i can get it for when we go back over in october.

it's really small, holds about a 100, but really nice. big stage, room is sloped so you can see the band, great sound (the engineer when we played was brendan o'hare - ex teenage fanclub), and just in really nice nick. i wish we had something like it here.

Sleazy's has the best jukebox of any pub I have ever been in, ever*

Dudley will now reply to this and say 'it's nothing compared to the juke boxes in new york' etc etc etc
