did anybody have an alf teddy bear with one of those built in tape recorders so he could tell you bed-time stories and the like?

I didn't, one of the reasons way my childhood was deprived.

But i did have an atari 2600.

except for superman & spiderman underpants, they were class.

except for superman & spiderman underpants, they were class.

am i the only one who remembers the horror that was bay city rollers socks? i think they came from dunnes (i was a bit young to be gripped by rollermania myself, though some of the older girls on our road had them). they were knee-high and featured the faces of the rollers down the side.

perhaps we could revive this idea for the "scene".

jays lads
I don't remember them, but I did participate heavily in the legwarmers, scented fancy paper, fancy rubbers (sorry ERASERS), Love Is sticker books, fancy pens (just call me Pauline), and stickers of all kinds crazes. I wasn't so keen on ra-ra's, slouch socks and Deeley Boppers buh

i will confess to the legwarmer thing too. admittedly, i did dancing, so i had an excuse for owning them. though not necessarily for wearing them out in the street with my lovely grey "fame" dress.

also had a fancy paper collection. one of the most pointless hobbies ever, now that i look back on it....

oh jesus, my fancy paper collection needed its own bedroom at one stage, such a ridiculous be-scented size as it had grown to. Boxes were full of totally useless fruit shaped notepads, floral writing sets and those pieces of paper you folded into an envelope once you'd written your letter - which was sacrelige as you weren't actually supposed to *use* this small forest worth of paper goods.

fancy paper, it was like some form of currency for girls in my school when i was a childer

that'd be worth one pink rednecks one, and one emotion soaked joan of arse one, surely??
