True story...

I was accosted by a 40-something Czech hooker round the corner from the Tesco in Prague while stumbling blind-drunk back to my hotel after a night of double Johnny Walkers.

Czech prossie: You want sex?
Me: All the time love, but you remind me of my mother so no dice.
Czech prossie: Random Czech insults...

Made me laugh anyway.

p.s. I also chatted up a prostitute on a Limerick street one night, I was so pissed I had to be clued in by a passing mate on his way to a club. Fair play to her, she saw the funny side of the whole thing, we parted on good terms (but sans-coitus)

when I was in prague , a group of friends and I got lost and felt we were moving into a dodgy area, so we hailed a taxi , not realising it already had a fair. The driver recognised us as tourists, pulled over, kicked his fare out onto the street. She screamed and cursed at him, he cursed and shouted at her, we got in. he drove us.we tipped him.we're jerks.she was probably murdered.

i liked these even if ye don't...kids are cool :)

A first grade teacher collected well known proverbs. She had twenty-five students in her class and she presented each child in her class the first half of a proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders.

Their insight may surprise you. While reading these keep in mind that these are first graders..... 6-year-olds, because the last one is classic!

1. Don't change horses......................until they stop running.

11. Love all, trust . me.

12. The pen is mightier than the . pigs.

13. An idle mind is ............... the best way to relax.

14. Where there's smoke there's . pollution.

15. Happy the bride who . gets all the presents.

16. A penny saved is . not much.

17. Two's company, three's . the Musketeers.

18. Don't put off till tomorrow what . you put on to go to bed.

ANALORD

whos your daddy?

Luke played me some of the hundreds of tracks earmarked for this Analord series and they are beautiful. More like SOSW & CW. But really good clear production. Lots of acid lines, but also a lot of melody & pads... Mostly analog(ue): 303, 606, 808, 909 and his collection of synths (a nice bit of chunky doepfer acid) but a few with breaks too.

i see.
yeah, i probably should have got that.. i was thinking selected ambient. i care becasue you do etc

i do think aphex is mostly radical. but I just wish he'd release a nice album instead of a bundle of tracks thrown into a double cd (ala Druqks) or a 2 track lp wrapped in a file-o-fax binder (ala this curretn project)
