There was another band called Warsaw Packt from London out around the same time as them, so they changed to avoid confusion with them. I heard (read on the internet) that was the reason

Elk from Cork are way better have been around longer and are totally sound.

Just saying. A promoter in Germany told us that our old bands name clashed with a massive German prog metal band, The massive band heard they were playing in a tiny bar in Berlin and threatened legal action. Dickheads.
