ATP Nightmare Before Xmas '07 (1 Viewer)

Before we dig out all our old trip-hop records, though, it's worth noting Geoff Barrow co-runs Bristol's Invada Records, which is mostly drone/doom metal so I guess we can expect Sunn0)))and the like.

I hope Talk Talk reform.

i'd love some fucking doom, but i'd say it's unlikey

i'm pinning my hopes on someone like high on fire getting asked to curate next year, seeing as though they've got a new album coming out towards the end of this one

fuck it, i'm getting to see them play in san francisco for my 30th, so i'm happy enough

would love a weekend of doom and heavy psyche

from the same person who said MBV were playing Electric Picnic?

Ha. No, from a guy who runs White Heat in Soho and who does a bit of work for Barry Hogan. Apparently Mr. Shields was supposed to curate last week's ATP but pulled out due to his hectic schedule (smoking jazz cigarettes in his Y-fronts while watching 60 pages of Racing News on Ceefax).

kevin/mbv was asked to reform to play and curate it, but kevin said he'd only do it if the whole band were up for it. Belinda was playing in some other band at the time and didn't wanna do it. I think Slint played that year instead

Nyeh.... Apart from Aphex very boring selections/

agreed.betcha they'll get DJ Shadow aswell.

I actually saw Beth Gibbons dropping her mate off at Bristol airport on the way to Minehead this year.

for me the Stephen Malkmus/Sonic Youth/the Foundation was the best. Malkmus being my favourite curator.some of the acts, it could be argued, were pretty standard atp fodder but all were excellent and all put on great shows
