annoying radio ads (1 Viewer)

Not an ad per sé but Joseph O'Connor's radio columns on drivetime are excruciating. Everything from the monotone to the forced rhyming to the running out of breath. CUNT.

Yeah I was on it on the 19th and there was literally 4 posts of any category.

Currently there are 5 items for sale, 1 car for sale, 1 post under "professional services" and 1 post in "jobs wanted". That's the lot. "The truth is: Advertising works."

It was up on the 19th? I've only been able to get onto it in the last ten minutes, and the only things there have been up for 4 hours at most. Pretty horrible web design there, Ben.

I'm not seeing any HYGIENE, FRIENDLY STAFF or PRICE there either, which is apparently what people want.

This may have been funny 20 years ago:

How do you fit a Mini into a bath? Ask Ben Dunne, he got an escort into one.

"The time is always right...to do what is right...to master the fear...for the will to win...to win the game...to take the championship"

holy fuckballs

That first Hale's black and yellow ad was ad enough, but the new one where some guy talks about the first ad is painful. I hate that shit where ads talk about ads.

George Hook ad on newstalk proclaiming his love for Sky customer service. Bet the cunt has never even rang them before.

Thing is, if their product was any use, they wouldn't need to be pushing their customer service as a feature. They're just saying, hey, we're crap so you'll probably need to call us at some point.

If people were trustworthy then PayPal wouldn't exist

or money

or anything really.

I'm not sure what my point is here but I feel there's a flaw in your argument somewhere

I think it's more of a dig at UPC's notoriously shit customer care service. In fairness to sky theirs is actually rather good when I've had to use them. They've all got lovely Scottish accents too.

That one for the hotel, where some guy is going to a conference tomorrow and the taxi is here for him now, and might just beat the traffic. he's clearly in the wrong fucking city at that rate.

Everytime I hear Gay Byrne over-annunciate the phrase "Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons" at the end of the radio ad for same I want to stamp on a baby ferret. It's like he's smugly saying to the recording crew "...see lads, that's how the pros do it....".

Say it properly! Not like a cunt!

not a radio ad but...

The ''huge -savings- weekeeeeeend'' tv ad really grinds my gears

Cost plus sofas have really dropped the ball since the two sumo wrestlers jumping on a bed. that ad is probebly the worst thing on telly at the moment which is saying something considering how many ads are for kids taking shits.
