the thing about it is that people need to get their heads around the concept of being for/against is not a relevant argument to the legality of abortion in ireland - you can still choose either wether its legal or not. the fact that it falls into so much debate in the media gives a piss easy vote grab in every election for any party will in to go on one side, so the fact of the debate is that it has continually undermined democracy in ireland for over 30 years.
