apparently, it's meant to be 'on my hope' - .

"on my whole" i thought. rhymed with "run your fingers through my soul". i liked that album at the time. wonder how it stands up today?

i liked sleeper's smart a bit too. heard it a couple of years ago and it didn't hold up so well. I suppose that's a bit too late for brit pop anyway, apparently.

Elastica just stole their songs and made them infinitely shitter. Wire wrote the pop songs and Elastica sucked the life out of them. You're talking through your Justin Frischman enlarged penis! It's like saying that Talking Heads were a bit dry and sciencey but Bell X 1's new stuff adds a pop edge.

In my opinion, Yeah. In the scheme of things Wire are obviously more important, innovative ect but I've always found them a bit dry and sciencey for my taste. Elastica added that pop edge.

That Bell X1 song is a song in the style of talking heads, not a rip off of any specific song.

The elastica song is the same riff but a completely different kind of song.

That Bell X1 song is a song in the style of talking heads, not a rip off of any specific song.

Melodically it's pretty similar to And She Was I reckon.

It's pretty funny. They had to buy the rights to that name off of a punk band from New York. They sold it off for one big lump sum. And these guys were just kids at the time, pretty amazing!


They changed their name to Serpico and they're pretty damn rockin' too.
