its a bit incongruous but theres a lot of gems on there. reminds me of those 80s box sets you can pick up for cheap.

This one is coming out on Rhino so it'll be quality packaging.

Orange Juice
Blue Aeroplanes

I would say that what most people consider Orange Juice's best period is beyond the scope of this box, it seems to start with C86 bands rather than C81, if such groupings exist.

The same way the few years after britpop but before the strokes aren't covered, it stops around around 1997/98.

What IS missing is that Me Me Me single which I think would really be essential to disc 4!

'he said, he said what do you do?..he said talk about thing...'

rightly or wrongly this song and the supernaturals remind me of being a teeenager..

also theres no field mice or wolfhounds or vaselines which are notable omissions. maybe therell be a part 2.

and, on disc 4 wheres gene. they were great.

Hell I don't wanna defend it, where are the Warmjets?? They supported Blur, they could have been huge, number 33 with a bullet!

No Kenickie!!!!!!!!!!7 maybe they come after

edit: No wildhearts, they've really been written out of history but were at their best (and most popular) in this time period

I'm quite happy they have a Rialto song in there,

NOTHING BY SPACE THOUGH, although i dunno if Space had any fans
