thought that they would show their powers,

thousands of americans lost their lives,
sons, daughters, husbands and wives,
murdered as they started their day,

and now, five years on, thumpers scoff,
and ridicule david hasslehoff,
and have no sympathy for the dead,
they would rather laugh and joke instead.
