OK ann. We both focused on different aspects of the podcast.Loads of people are saying these things all the time.
Criticising people is EASY.
For example you are criticizing me for not taking on board something you didn't say about an article i didn't share on a thread about studying billionares as an outcrop of the human experience.
My attempt at comprehending this is that you are used to environments where people criticise bezos all day without going any further in the thought process, and because that article took you somewhere you are not used to, it's my fault.
Getting locked in 'i don't like billionaires' is easy. I'm more interested in learning whats going wrong with them as people at this point.
You responded to me first and I read the whole article.
Good luck. This ain't worth falling out about.
Did you take on board anything I said?well eh, I didn't.
Who's falling out here? I'm only reacting to things you said to me - Would you prefer if people only reacted if they agree with you?
There's a huge difference between disagreeing with someone and falling out - you've not really taken on anything i said though.
Mordor were not the ones pushing technology in the Lord of the Rings, Saruman’s army at Isengard was and Saruman was working against Sauron in the foolish hope that he could use the One Ring himself to rule Middle-earth. In any case, anything Mordor did was done in preparation to destroy and rule Middle-earth and recreate it in Sauron’s image - which goes against the plan* of the master creator in Tolkien’s legendarium, Ilúvatar. Acts of unchecked, disharmonious creation are the initial sources of evil in Lord of the Rings with Morgoth’s corruption of Ilúvatar’s song of creation at the beginning of time. This notion of creating things at odds with the concept of good continued with Morgoth’s creation of the Orcs and later Sauron’s creation of the One Ring, but in all cases were corruptions of existing things (Orcs being Elves initially, the One Ring created to control the other Rings of Power) and not as new technological advances. Saruman however, was really the first to take new things like war machines, industry, etc. Peter Thiel really betrays his ignorance here.I just read that Peter Theil (Net Worth 20.9 Billion) things that Mordor are the good guys in lord of the rings.
I admire the efficiency of this single sentence flying in the face of everything that is important.
I'm 100% down for this thread just turning into scoffing at yachts or whatever.
Lord of the Rings is boring crapLads, can we get back on topic please?

In fairness, you don’t like any fiction or food, so Lord of the Rings definitely feels like a mismatch for you.Lord of the Rings is boring crap
YeahIn fairness, you don’t like any fiction or food, so Lord of the Rings definitely feels like a mismatch for you.
Tolkien never specified skin colour in any of his books. He did write to the Nazis telling them to fuck off though, does that pass the test for you?Yeah. Are there any black people in LoTR?
