vaguely in zombie territory I suppose. I was reminded more of that antimemetic website that none of us remembers reading even though quite a few of us have. The power of words and stuff.

Housemate recommended it for watching and I said "you know I watched Threads a few days ago, dunno if I can take more apocalypse".

Oh god, Threads, jesus, well....it's nowhere like that.

Anyway, for those power of words and ideas reasons in the world we live in, I actually was a bit shook. Do recommend. Plus watching a radio play made into a movie is always interesting to watch.

Not a.movie but watched a great documentary about the Great Greata Garbo called you guessed it - Greta.


What an interesting life she had, lots of tragedy, adventure, high art. She was so ahead of her time and did everything on her terms but she also had a very beautiful misunderstood soul.

In anticipation of 28 Years later I rewatched 28 Days Later. I still really like this one but appreciate it's not universally loved. It feels to me like a European comic strip from Heavy Metal/Metal Hurlant. I like its quirkiness and inventiveness on a relatively low budget. And can just about over look some bad acting and dialogue. Will watch 28 weeks later this evening.

I also rewatched Hitchcockvs Dial M for Murder. Hugely enjoyable and massively outdated. Basically none of the things on which the plot relies, from latch keys to banking and social norms are relateable to a modern audience. Still very enjoyable though.

Anthropophagus (1980)
Italian horror with English dubbing. A group of friends on holiday travel to a small island village which seems to be deserted. They try to find out what has happened, but someone is stalking them. Well made euro horror with some fairly nasty gore scenes.
I watch a couple of cult movie collectors on YouTube and they are always talking about new Blu-ray & 4k reissues of these type of films. They are nice sets with upgraded picture quality, booklets & info ect....tbh I find most of them to be one watch & done films. If I can see them online for free, that's good enough for me. I haven't rewatched the first two in preparation for the new one..which is something I wouldn't normally do.
But seriously,28 days later was SERIOUSLY fresh and exciting when it came out. It was revolutionary

It was the same feeling of wonderment that Dawn Of The Dead had when I first saw that
