We had this on VHS!!Zombie flesh eaters (1979)
An abandoned yacht turns up in New York. The daughter of its owner & a reporter trace it back to a small tropical island where the local doctor is trying to find a cure for a mysterious virus that is turning people into....... zombies. Well made with excellent old school practical gore effects & make up. Full film up on the YouTube.
Pretty sure I saw it on Channel 4 late one night 25 years ago, and it was classWe had this on VHS!!
this and way of the dragon were our first two videos. 1980. From the man with the video library in the boot of his Cortina
Is it not really well regarded? I’ve never heard anyone single it out as a bad movie. It’s years since I last saw it but remember it very fondly. In anticipation of 28 Years later I rewatched 28 Days Later. I still really like this one but appreciate it's not universally loved. It feels to me like a European comic strip from Heavy Metal/Metal Hurlant. I like its quirkiness and inventiveness on a relatively low budget. And can just about over look some bad acting and dialogue. Will watch 28 weeks later this evening.
I know some people who think it's shit. I disagree of courseIs it not really well regarded? I’ve never heard anyone single it out as a bad movie. It’s years since I last saw it but remember it very fondly.
I haven't rewatched the first two in preparation for the new one..which is something I wouldn't normally do.In anticipation of 28 Years later I rewatched 28 Days Later. I also rewatched Hitchcockvs Dial M for Murder. Hugely enjoyable and massively outdated. Basically none of the things on which the plot relies, from latch keys to banking and social norms are relateable to a modern audience. Still very enjoyable though.
Couldn't watch it. My brain refused itNot a film and not last night but I’m currently 2/3rds of the way through a 2 hour long recap of Tenet on YouTube. So much going on in that movie.
I’ve watched it a couple of times. Good to just not think too much, but also good to try to figure out. I like it.Couldn't watch it. My brain refused it
