Your work situation (3 Viewers)

Had an extraordinarily trying week last week, a barrage of passive-aggression from one of the most egotistical people I've ever met. Also one of the smartest people I've met in years, and super-friendly and nice to your face, was delighted to have him on my team at first (I'm his boss). Gradually it became apparent that he won't take feedback and will balk at doing anything that wasn't his idea. Then it turns out nobody can decipher any of the code he's written (I'm a programmer), and nothing he delivers works properly, and it's always someone else's fault. And THEN he goes to my boss and tells him that I'm preventing him from doing his job properly. Twice

What a cunt. Mrs. egg_ said he was a dick from the start, but I was swayed by his friendly demeanour. Lesson learned.

I went to my 9 month probation (work) review today. I repeated something kinda "wrong" that my immediate boss said to me out on the road when I met him a few weeks ago one work morning. He denied saying it, then as his boss said something, he pointed his finger at me and threatened me with a "you withdraw that". I stared the cunt out. He's my immediate boss but he's already making my life difficult so as soon as I'm made permanent I'm going to go see him, tell him he can say what he wants etc but while his immediate boss likes me (there's VERY little I do wrong) I'll inform him I don't care and he doesn't frighten me and really he should lighten the fuck up and things will be more enjoyable for both of us,
Cunt was giving out that I don't socialise enough. Either with the bunch of men reading the Star and arguing about the Premiership soccer or the loudmouth girls (and couple of guys) over in my place who I listen to all day anyway.

Prick. I'll show him.

just moved to a new team in my place. my manager wears grey suit jackets with black trousers. and brown jackets with black trousers. this is kind of stressing me out. he has a girlfriend. why doesn't she sort him out?

someone near me drew Ireland in the Euro 2016 sweepstake and then proceeded to do an Irish accent. they were talking about going to Tory fundraising events recently too :(

Got an offer of a new job yesterday and it's fucking stressing me out. Unhappy where I am, but I've not really got any way to be certain this will be better. My indecision is compounded by the fact that a different job I *really* wanted and was led to believe I was about to be offered has been put "on hold". Gah!

Do you work in the UK? I used to get that on a daily basis.

yeah - haven't heard the Keith Lemon "potato" in a few years though so I suppose i should be thankful for that.

This is how they talk about you when you're not there all the time anyway
