Missing guitarist 'presumed dead' (1 Viewer)

I think a 'clash revival' revival is about due

Let me bridge The Manics and The Clash :p

I can't find their superb version of What's my Name but here's Train In Vain and James doing Clampdown

Suede is a good choice. I've never listened to a Suede album. I didn't like yer man when I was young as he'd gone out with my Damon's Justine.

Do the Clash really need a reappraisal? I'd vote for something to happen for everyone to recognise that Mansun are/were amazing.

yeah me also

I was sort of joking about the clash.

As for Mansun, i'd say 90% of my posts on thumped are about how great they are, AND NOT JUST SIX.

ps. Rita13 has a good recent mansun story

What is it?

I never listened to the Mansun album after Six for some reason. I used to have a video of them playing some NME show. Think they were on after Delakota. :)
The stuff before Six is all brilliant, it's true.

How about Ultrasound? I met them on a ferry going to France in 1998 which was a huge thrill. The keyboard player woke up the drummer so I could get his autograph, which was decent of him. That's my Ultrasound story.

ah, I'll let her tell it.

Mansun post six were a bit hit and miss, but like hit and miss across the board so you still have to get all the b-sides because some are great and much better than album tracks.

Ultrasound, didn't like his voice, they were all a bit too over the top for me to be honest. He's in another band I found on myspace once who sounded quite good.

I'm a bit fan of Straw though, brilliant songwriter in them who got totally lost in your Travis's and NU-metallers. I had to get their second album on bootleg because it got pulled at the last minute.

Aw, they look like nice lads. They're not all that good though John. Sorry about that there now. A few years later and they could've been some kind of a Busted type band.

I'm really getting into the new album now, it's not as dark as I thought it would be or as heavy but it still much better then their recent efforts.

What about a Therapy? revision
I saw them on Friday night and they were amazing, their playing as a three peice again and I forgot how good their back catelohgue is played Innocent X, Teethgrinder's B-Side Summer of Hate and all the classics off Troublegum and Infernal Love.

Eh John, I think they're only good when you're drunk.

Do you mean the time I saw a guy wearing a mansun t-shirt so said "I'm emotionally raped by Jesus, I'm emotionally raped by Jesus now". He got freaked out and left (very quickly).
Why the fuck would you wear that if you didn't know the words to cancer???
He was pretty too :(
