also, being related to someone is a sure way to have a bad argument. bury your resentment and keep contact with your family to a minimum. when you do have to see them, repress all emotions. they will think you've finally matured and grown to accept them; you will realise that all you have to do to stop them wrecking your head is ignore them.

I don't like fights. Calm, logical, arguments as a form of discussion can be good, and are important - but in my view the first person to resort to shouting, name calling or similar agressive methods has lost.

I've never won an argument in my life, I get all flustered and forget what I've said. Calm discussions are the only thing that works, Idont get how shouting and huffing helps anything. I've a friend that, when she's annoyed starts a blazing argument wherever she is, she never seems to realise how petty she looks shouting at someone on a Saturday evening in town.
