The Zoid Ensemble‘s battle against the Jazz Musicians Of Ireland continues over the coming weeks.
Following the release of their debut album in January, the Zoid Ensemble‘s battle against the Jazz Musicians Of Ireland continues over the coming weeks. "ZoiD versus the Jazz Musicians Of Ireland vol.1" was released in September and consists of 8 tracks of digitally rearranged contributions from some notable jazz musicians, all layered over electronic beats. Musicians featured on the album include Ronan Guilfoyle, MIchael Buckley, Mike NIelsen, Tommy Halferty, Sean Carpio & Greg Felton.
Led by Daniel Jacobson, who previously played with Fuzzy Logic, Wicked Meal and Oldsquarelines, the Zoid Ensemble features saxophonists Cathal Roch and Nick Roth, pianist Justin Carrol, trombonist Colm O’Hara, drummer Matthew Jacobson and bassist Cormac O’Brien.
