Expect appearances from Deaf Joe, Hunter-Gatherer, Natural History Museum, Eamon Sweeney, You Kiss by the Book, Peter Toomey (Brainbeat), George Rogers, Matt Faherty, NiamhMcCormackSings, YHRF collective, cake, and much more.
Seomra Spraoi can be found at 10 Belvedere Court, Dublin 1 (go right at the Garden of Remembrance). Doors are at 8pm, live acts start at 8.30pm and is, as ever, bring your own tipples. As always the event is in aid of the Dublin Simon Community.
The next We Love… is on Saturday 25th September at the old Tully’s Tiles premises in Smithfield.
Also, at 2pm this Sunday afternoon (4th July) the Young Hearts collective brings us When Only Words Can Describe: Boxing / Life’s Struggle, featuring readings by Claire Keegan (Antarctica, Walk the Blue Fields) & David Norris (Senator, Joycean Scholar), and a performance by David Turpin (The Sweet Used to Be, Haunted!).
The venue is the Unitarian Church, 112 St. Stephen’s Green Street West, Dublin 2. Admission is €10 and there will be tea and cake. Again, this event is being held in aid of The Simon Community. The next When Only Words Can Describe event is on Sunday 26th September: Melancholy/The Promise of More, featuring readings by Kevin Barry, Adrian Crowley and more to be confirmed.
