2011 is racing to a close, and what a year it has been at The Workman’s Club! We’ve seen banging gig after gig pass through the club from Anna Calvi to Villagers, Rubberbandits to Kristen Hersh, Damien Dempsey to Gold Panda and we’ve tucked a 1st birthday firmly under our belt. We will be very *sadface* to let this one go!
So….in order to give these epic 12 months a farewell party worthy of a decade, we’ve planned a New Years Eve Extravaganza so downright dirty and sweatily delightful that even the most lascivious of Romans would be appalled.
In the venue from 8pm on Saturday December 31st we are turning the amps up high and the lights down low, as some of our best loved band chums take to the stage for back to back live performances. Catch Le Galaxie, Funeral Suits, Tieranniesaur and Last Days of 1984 lift the lid on 2012 over one epic chain-rocking evening!

As the First Floor is ALWAYS open to our most precious Workman’s fans, we won’t be trying to do you out of your cash like so many other venues on New Year’s Eve. We’re going to enhance the New Year’s Eve madness with a ‘free in all night’ line-up of record spinning frenzy that will have you dancing like lunatics right into 2012. Kicking off at 8pm in the First Floor Bar, a collection of our finest Workman’s Club-Night Residents will be playing tunes for a mammoth 8 hour session. There will be a mixed bag of Ska, Punk, Reggae, Northern Soul, House, Indie and lashings of your favourite guilty pleasures! FREE in ALL NIGHT or until we burst at the seams, so come early!
