The Redneck Manifesto – 20th Anniversary gig

The Redneck Manifesto will celebrate their first 20 years together with a gig in Vicar Street on November 30th

No word yet on who else will be joining them, but we have it on good authority they’ll be “very interesting“…

Tickets are on sale now, priced at €30.40 (including booking fee).

Today, The Redneck Manifesto announce they are celebrating 20 years of making music this year and bringing you a very special live show in Vicar Street on 30 th November.

The Redneck Manifesto were formed in 1998 initially as a four piece instrumental band with Niall Byrne and Matthew Bolger on guitar, Mervyn Craig behind the drums and Richard Egan on bass guitar until a few years later when they were joined by Neil O Connor and Glenn Keating on percussion and keyboards.

They’ve toured Europe, The United States and Japan in their time together and released 5 critically acclaimed albums.

The Vicar Street gig takes place a week before the 20th anniversary of the band’s first ever gig, opening for The Sorts in the the now long-since redeveloped Funnel Bar on December 6th, 1998. Awww, just look at their little baby faces….

Here’s to another 20 years.

There might be even more TRM news on the way BUT WE’RE NOT ALLOWED TALK ABOUT THAT YET.
