The Middle Ages, the new band formed by ex-Large Mound main man Anthony Mackey, will play their first gigs next month
The gigs in The Odessa Club & Hanna’s in Navan will also feature another Large Mound refugee – Mark Jordan & his band The Run Ons.
You may be familiar with Mackey from his work with legendary (yes legendary) rockers Large Mound. Or you may know Mackey from his two year stint as guitarist in Gary Showbiz’s Hot Colossus. What you may not know is that Anthony has released two low key solo albums and it is this arsenal of top drawer hard rock gems that The Middle Ages will bring to life.
Completing The Middle Ages are Greg O’Brien (formerly of Hot Colossus), Carroll Reid (last seen in Fairuza and previously of the renowned Octopus Underground) and Chris Duffin (in his first band!).
The Middle Ages make their live debut in June. The band will play two gigs alongside The Run Ons, who feature fellow ex-Large Mounder Mark Jordan, along with members of Pantone247, Bouts and Objecterz.
