Summer Lightning is a night of live music from some of the most exciting bands gigging in Dublin today, taking place on Saturday 10th July at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios. The Jimmy Cake, with special guests Patrick Kelleher and the Boys of Summer will be taking to the make shift stage in the gallery, while upstairs on the third floor, Dublin based DJs Skinny Wolves, Sarsparilla and Crayonsmith will provide the soundtrack for looking out over the city. Visuals throughout the building will be provided by resident studio artist Anita Delaney and friends.
Temple Bar Gallery & Studios is located in the heart of the city’s designated cultural quarter, Temple Bar square. The building stands three storeys tall and houses 30 artist studios. The gallery area located on the ground floor will become the main stage for the event, which aims not only to raise funds for the gallery but also to raise awareness for TBG&S and to give the public a chance to use the space in a new way. The entire building will be opened up with music and visuals on each floor. Summer Lightning will also serve as a re-launch event for the gallery, which will be reopening on 16th July with an exhibition by Sonia Sheil.
Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets are €15 and are available on the door. Ticket price includes 1 free drink.

All proceeds go towards Temple Bar Gallery & Studios. Pay them a visit & read about the reasons for the benefit.
